This study included the increase of Pseudomonas B-7741 recently diagnosed and fed by methanol in modified M9 medium. Lipids were extracted from biomasses of bacteria by using organic solvents to get a mixture of fatty acids. Fatty acids separated by using thin layer chromatography TLC the study show that the mixture of fatty acids extracted from Pseudomonas B-7741 consists of two fatty acids. They are Palmitic (C16:0) and Palmitooleic (C16:1) acids.

EFFECT OF CHILLING STRESS IN CARNATIONS FLOWER PRODUCTION

ANBAR JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES, 2003, Volume 1, Issue 2, Pages 6-11
DOI: 10.32649/ajas.2003.175726

This experiment was carried out during 1999 –2000 in the lath house of Hort. Dep. College of Agri. University of Baghdad Abu-Ghraib. In factorial experiment with in (R C B D) by 4 Replicated. Chilling stress carried out on the plants when stored at 5C, 9C and without stress as a farm plants (control). Chilling was repeated one, two and four nights per month for both 5ºC, 9ºC storage.
The experimental shows that the suddenly chilling stress had increased % of deformed petals, diameter of calyx tube and % complete splitting flowers, on the other hand thickness of calyx sepals and % of medium or trace calyx splitting flowers had decreased if the night temp. Lowered to 5ºC or increased the number of chilling nights compared to the plants without chilling in the farm (control).

COLLECTING OF EMBRYOS IN IRAQI LOCAL GOATS

S. N. Omran

ANBAR JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES, 2003, Volume 1, Issue 2, Pages 12-18
DOI: 10.32649/ajas.2003.175727

A twenty Iraqi local does were used in the current study. The allocated into donor group (10) and recipient group (10). All animal were treated with intravaginal progestagen sponges for 14 days, Induction of superovulation was conduced by injection of 1000, 500 IV of eCG to the donor and recipient groups respectively. The donor animals were served naturally at the time of estrous. Uteri of donor animals were washed with 50- 100 ml of PBS using the internal canola of Verris needle. Three embryos were collected and transferred to the uteri of two recipient animals using laparoscopy and surgical techniques.

EFFECT OF AGE OF LOCAL IRAQI DOES ON SOME PHYSIOLOGICAL, BIOCHEMICAL AND PROTEINS IN THE BLOOD

ANBAR JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES, 2003, Volume 1, Issue 2, Pages 19-28
DOI: 10.32649/ajas.2003.175728

Some physiological , Enzymes , total proteins and its fractions in the blood  were examined with the different ages in the seventy seven local Iraqi does , which belong to Agragof  goat improvement station / IPA Agricultural Research Center , during  period of  September to  November / 2001.
The following parameters were examined, packed cell volume, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, glutamic oxaloacetic and pyruvic transaminase enzymes, alkaline phosphatase enzyme, Total serum protein, Albumin and globulins. Data   shown that there was no significant differences ( P>0.05) in the packed cell volume with  the age and the average  percentages  were 30.87 , 28.07 , 26.11  and  26.35  %  for ages 21, 4, 6 and 8 years, respectively. While the erythrocytes sedimentation rate were 5.16, 7.53, 8.20, and 8.60 mm/ westergreen pipette/ 24 hrs. For ages 2, 4, 6 and 8 years, respectively.  In addition, there was no significant differences (P>0.05) have been noticed in the activity of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase enzymes between ages.  While   young does (2 years) showed an increased in the activity of glutamic pyruvic transaminase (P<0.05) than others. The  alkaline phosphotase activity was not affected  by  the age , and the average values were 19.89,  20.04,  13.38, and 15.12 (K.A.U./ dl)  for does  aged  2, 4, 6 and  8  years, respectively. Total serum protein increased (P<0.05) for young does (2 years) which recorded 9.22 ± 0.29 gm/dl. While the percentages  of  albumin  ,  alpha  and  beta  globulin were  not effect by age of does , whereas  the  lowest  level  of  gama  globulin was recorded  for  young  does  ( 2 years ) .
