Study of prevalence ectoparasites in pigeon (feral & domestic) in Al-Anbar city

Abstract

The aim of study is prevalence of ectoparasites. Fifty birds (35 feral pigeon + 15 domestic pigeon) were included in this study . Four species were diagnosed:
Goniocote, Cuclotogastes, lipeurus and Goniodes
The total numbers of infection in birds were 80% (70% in feral pigeon, 10% in domestic pigeon).
