Abstract
Forty seven frames of honey bee with foul– broad disease symptoms were collected from different apiaries in the mid of Iraqi regions. All samples were cultured for bacterial growth and after purification and isolations; morphological, physiological and biochemical tests were done for bacterial characteristics: two bacterial foul– broad disease were found. The first one was the American foul– broad disease (AFB) caused by Paenibacillus larvae L. with percentage of infection incidence 2.12%. The second infection was the European foul– broad disease (EFB) caused by Melissococcus pluton with an infection incidence of 82-92% which was widely separated in all mid– Iraqi regions. The percent of honey contamenited with two pathogenic agent was 4.34 and 57.97 % respectively.
