Motivation level of employees of college Of Agriculture-university of Baghdad towards work and its relationship with some factors

Abstract
This research aims to investigate the motivational level of employees of the college of agriculture-university of Baghdad towards work and its relationship with some factors.A sample of 20% of technical, administrational and service employees was taken and the sample totaled 100 persons. A questionnaire was prepared which consisted of tow sections. The first section was on the reasons for working while the second section was on the independent of age, sex, education, marital status and length of employment.
The information was collected during April and May of 2008.The results showed that the motivational level was medium to low in general and that there was a significant relationship at the 0.01 level between motivational level and the factors of age, sex and length of employment and at the 0.05 level with marital status and also a simple positive relationship with educational level. The study concluded with recommending the strengthening of employees' motivation and providing incentives to increase their motivation towards work.
