Abstract
The current research aimed to identify the reality of the use of fertilizers by farmers in the district of orchards Tamiya Baghdad and the degree of knowledge of their risks, as well as revealing about the relationship between level of knowledge in all of the following independent variables (type of fertilizer used, and the type of chemical fertilizer, and the type of compost). Included all farmers in the research community orchards in the area and Tamiya's (1200) Farms were selected by a random sample of them (10%), and it became the size of the sample (120) farms. The research has come to the following results: With regard to the level of knowledge of horticulture growers collateral damage when you use the fertilizer was average tends to be relatively low.
