Path Analysis in Grain Sorghum

AbstractField experiments was conducted in spring and autumn of 2004 on Abu-Ghraib Experimental Station, State Board of Agricultural Research by using fourteen genotypes in RCBD with three replicates .The path coefficient analysis for both spring and autumn plantings showed that the leaf area (1.168 & 1.270) biological yield(1.067, 1.060) and 1000 seed weight (0.753 & 0.795) had the most direct and indirect effect on grain yield, It was concluded that it should be depend these characters that had direct and indirect effect in the grain yield used as criteria to improve and increasing grai Yield for sorghum genotypes by selection at irrigated central region of Iraq.
