Effect of pinching and irrigation periods on plant growth and yield of Hibiscus sabdariffa L.

Abstract
Field experiment was conducted during 2008 season. Al-anbar – Hadyitha – Prowinea to investigation the effect of pinching and irrigation periods on growth and yield of roselle Hibiscus sabdariffa L. The experiment included six treatments thos were combinations of three irrigation periods. 5. 10 and 15 days with pinching or with out. split-plot-design was used to arranged treatments. Results showed that pinching was significantly superior in all of traits. Irrigation every 5 days had the highest values of traits. Interaction of pinching and 5 days irrigations gave the pest veroults for all traits. It could be concluded that the pinching with irrigation every 5 days improved performance of plants there for it was recommended o the pinching with irrigation 5 days to increase yield of this crop
