Abstract
This experiment was conducted in 2011 season in a private Citrus Orchard on AL-Euphrate River Bank in Al-boethaa district /Ramadi /Anbar , to study the effect of BA and Urea on fruit set , fruit drop and Vegetative and fruiting characteristics of Citrus seninsis L. local variety . The study was included spraying four concentrations from Cytokinins BA (0,20,40 and 60mg/l) and three concentrations of nitrogen Urea (0, 3 and 6g/l) and interaction . The results showed that the treatment with 60mg/l BA gave a high percentage fruits set , number of leaves on shoot, fruit size and total yield rates 25.03% , 11.47% , 147.4cm3 and 47.22kg, respectively . decreased fruits dropping and low content of acidity 5.66% and 0.739% respectively . while spraying 40mg/l gave a high percentage of total nitrogen and protein at beginning and the end of Season Rates 2.920,2.890% and 18.29,18.06% respectively . The Urea spraying 6g/l decreased fruit dropping and fruit acidity 5.94% and 0.727% respectively and gave increase in total yield, leaves number by shoot , nitrogen and protein in beginning and the end of season and fruit size rates 43.67% , 11.40% , 2.940,2.890% , 18.41,18.06% and 151.8cm3 respectively . the treatment spray with 3g/l gave a high percentage of ascorbic acid in fruit 57.9 mg/l . The interaction between 60mg/l BA and 6g/l Urea significantly increased of total yield , number of Leaves in shoot , fruits size Rates 51.67kg , 12.90% , 159.7cm3 respectively , decreased fruit dropping 4.83% . The treatment of 40mg/l BA and 6g/l Urea significantly increased of total nitrogen and protein in the end of season and low acidity in fruits rates 2.910% , 18.18%and 0.697% respectively . Treatment of 40mg/l BA and 3g/l recorded a high set fruit and increased nitrogen and protein at beginning season 26.98% , 3.00% , 18.74% respectively . The treatment 60mg/l BA and 3g/l Urea increased vit. C in fruits 58.7 mg/l .
