Plant extracts are one of the important topics that researchers have been interested in in all periods, with their great importance and their entry into a variety of fields. The aim of this research is to identify the percentages of plant extracts obtained from the leaves of each of the olives, Prosopis juliflora and Mirabilis jalapa Linn (Lala Abbas), as the leaves of the plants were extracted by two different methods: extraction using the Soxhlet device and extraction by the maceration process. The results showed that the extraction method by Soxhlet device gave higher percentages than the maceration extraction method for plant extracts in all the samples used, and that the extraction yield of Prosopis juliflora leaves, which amounted to (15.58%) was higher than the rest of the extracts obtained in this research. The results showed that in terms of infrared spectra analysis, there is a high convergence of all the prepared extracts through the appearance of some effective functional groups such as (hydroxyl group OH, carbonyl group C-O and others).

Lath trail was laid out at Department of Horticulture and Landscape, College of Agriculture, University of Anbar during growth season of 2018, to investigate the effect of Whey with three levels of (0, 250 and 500 ml L-1 distilled water) and Banana fruit pulp extract with three levels of (0, 25 and 50 ml L-1) on vegetative growth of Khastawi olive transplants. Eighty-one identical saplings as possible were chosen (27 saplings for each replicate). The two study factors were added at the (1/4, 1/6, 1/8 and 1/10). A factorial experiment was carried out in two factors (3×3) by R.C.B.D. design included 9 treatments replicated three times, using three transplants for each experimental unit. Applying the Whey was significantly affected all the studied traits of the vegetative growth of olive transplants (except the leaves dry weight percentage), especially the highest level (W2) which showed the best values for traits (increased of shoot number 16.52 shoot transplants -1, shoot length 23.8 cm, increased of leaves number 169.7 leaf transplants -1. While W1treatment achieved highest value for leaves area as it reached 978.89 cm2. The highest level of Banana fruit pulp extract (P2) was the best by giving the highest significant effect for all traits (increased of shoot number, shoot length, increased of leaves number, leaves dry weight percentage and leaves area) which gave 16.63 shoot transplants -1, 22.3 cm, 168.2 leaf transplants -1, 60.98% and 1013.23 cm2, respectively. The interaction between the two factors reached a significant level for the traits (increased of shoot number, shoot length and leaves area).

Effect of some nutrients in Olive seedlings growth that grown in desert lands

A study was conducted in one of the olive orchard at Al-Forat governorate in Heet city of Al-anbar province during the season 2014 to investigate the effect ofapplying the industrial chicken manure the Orgevit (P) and spraying the Reef PlantCare (V) on some vegetative growth traits of olive seedlings Ashrasi cultivar.
Thirty sex identical seedlings as possible were chosen at age of two years with interspace of 6x6 m. The Orgevit was applied in the middle of March, while the Reef PlantCare was at monthly intervals, starting from the 1st of April to October the 1st . A factorial experiment was carried out in R.C.B.D. design (3×4) included 12 treatments repeated three times, using one tree for each experimental unit, The first factor (Orgevit) was used in three levels ( 0 , 0.5 and 1 kg.seedling-1 ), whereas the second factor was spraying with the Reef PlantCare in four levels (0 , 1 , 1.5 and 2 ml.l-1 ) .
The results showed the Orgevit manure was significantly affected in growth of olive seedlings Ashrasi cultivar, especially the highest level used (P2) which showed the best values for all the studied traits (average of high increment, average of branches number increment, average of a new branches length, average of leaves number increment and branches dry matter percentage) which reached (11.7 cm, 11.83 branch.seedling-1 , 13.5 cm, 56.4 leaf.seedling-1 and 67.29%) respectively, only the average increment of stem diameter didn't show any significant difference. Treatment of spraying Reef PlantCare at the highest level (V3) was the best by giving the highest significant effect for the two traits (average of branches number increment and branches dry matter percentage) that reached 11.00 branch.seeedling-1 and 65.03%, respectively. Treatment V2 was came after and showed significant effect on traits (average of high increment, average of a new branches length and average of leaves number increment) that reached 11.8 cm, 13.4 cm and 54.7 leaf.seeedling-1, respectively. The interaction combinations gave a significant level for the all studied traits, the highest effects for most traits was for the interaction treatment P2V2

This research was carried out during 2010-2011 in Mosiaf rذegion. We selected and described seven types (sub cultivar) of the main cultivar in this region which is called Safrawi from three places Hazoor, Al Warraka and Wadi El Kawwas.
The fruit weight and pulp to pit ratio were studied in addition to calculate oil percentage in GCSAR laboratory by soxhlet, and the data were analyzed statistically by using Genstat 8 program in order to determine the least significant differences between them.
The results of the study point to the presence of the biodiversity among the tress of the cultivar Safrawi in Mosiaf according to its fruits weight, pulp/pit and oil percentage, even among types grow in the same place, the Type S5 have had the highest oil percentage (27%) so it is good for oil production whereas the type S3 had good traits in both fruit weight and pulp/pit ratio ( 7.03, 4.79g) so it is recommended as a table olive type.
From all above mentioned, arises the need for conserving these types in germplasms and consuming the evaluation of them by analyses its oil components and conducting biogenetic experiment to determine the genetic relationship among them .

The Effect of foliar application with Boric Acid, Zinc Sulfate and Iron Claw on fruits set, vegetative growth and fruit traits of Olive cv. Nibali Mohassan.

This study was conducted in olive farm in General Commission of Desertification Combat / Enna County in Al Anbar Province during 2012, in order to study the impact of leafy spraying with boric acid at (100, 150 mg. liter -1), zinc sulfate at (5000 mg. liter -1) and Fe-EDDHA at (1000 mg .liter-1) and the mixture of them, on the growth and production of olive cv. Nibali Mohassan. The spraying was done until trees become wet completely dated 25/4/2012 at full bloom and spray the second month after the first spray. The design of experiment was full randomized blocks with three repeliciates, and LSD at level 5% was calculated to all treatments.The results showed that spraying with boric acid at 150 mg .liter -1 gave significant increase in shoot length , leaf area and fruits weight which reached 5,86 cm, 7.247 cm, 3.29 g respectively, comparing with other applications that caused trait 's decrease to reach 3.00 cm, 6.327 cm2, 2.7639 respectively. And the spraying with 150 mg . liter -1 boric acid + 5000 mg. liter -1 + zinc sulfate caused significant increase in oil percentage reached 19.09% comparing with 15.85%.While the treatment with 100 mg. liter -1 boric acid + 500 mg . liter -1+1000 mg. liter -1 Fe –EDDHA have had a good impact of studied characters such as leaf area, relative chlorophyll, fruit set, fruit coefficient, and production.Whereas the application (150 mg . liter -1 boric acid + 5000 mg. liter -1 zinc sulfate, 1000 mg .liter -1 Fe-EDDDHA) indicated a significant increase relative chlorophyll and boron content in leaves, and also increase the fruit set and fruit coefficient

Effects of IBA , growing Media and Certain Treatments on Rooting of Olive Cuttings Olea europaea L.

Three different experiments were conducted in a certain nursery. The aim of these experiments is to know the effect of the different concentration of the Auxin (IBA) growing media, and treatments of olive cuttings (sliced, normal cuttings and from previously ringed origin). Two cultivars of olive (17 years old) were tested, the first was Manzinello and the second was Ashrasy and cultivated the mid of February 2003 in Baghdad.
Results of this study are summarized follows"
1- Ashrasey cultivar gave a significant increase in the rooting percentage (78.56%), the average number of roots in cutting (7.39 root/cutting) and finally the average length of roots (21.97 cm) in comparison with Manzinello cultivar. Also, the percentage of giving roots and average root length sliced cutting and those taken from previously ringed cuttings was (61.05-61.93 %) and (16.08-20.28 cm) respectively compared to the control (normal cuttings). However, the same results were true for the mentioned characters when a combined treatments between sliced and ringed cuttings.
2- The percentage one peat moss: river (1:1) sand that was treated 4000ppm gave the highest rooting percentage (83.73%), average of root number (13.1 root/cutting) and root length (33.65cm).
An interacted treatment between rooting media (1:1) and the two cultivars gave a high significant percentage in the three studied characters. The sand media was the weakest in giving roots, then the media of (2:1).
The treatment of IBA with 4000ppm gave the highest rooting percentage (70.77%), and the treatment of IBA with 3000ppm gave the highest root length (25.85 cm). The interacted treatments of IBA 3000ppm and Ashrasy cultivar gave the highest rooting percentage (95.43 %). The treatment of IBA 5000ppm the highest root number (11.53 root/cutting). The combined treatment of IBA 4000ppm and the Manzinello cultivars gave the highest average of root length (29.87 cm).
Ashrasy cuttings show an optimum way of propagation, rapid and high percentage of giving roots (90%), but Labeeb cv. Show difficulty of giving roots. Khstawi cv. May be motivated by growth regulator or using suitable growing media (80.07%).
