الملخص
هدف هذا البحث الى التعرف على خصائص الترب المتشکلة على مادة أصل جبسیة تحت ظروف المنطقة الساحلیة من خلال دراسة حالة مقطع ممثل لهذه الترب، نظراً لضیق المساحة التی تتکشف فیها الصخور الجصیة فی المنطقة وتشابه الخصائص على کامل مساحة هذه التکشفات. تم الوصف المورفولوجی واخذ العینات الترابیة من کل افق وفقاً للأسس المنهجیة المعتمدة، أظهرت النتائج ان التربة فی المراحل الاولى لتطور الترب على الصخور الجبسیة، صخریة فی معظم اجزاءها، ضعیفة التطور، مع ضعف فی عملیة الانغسال وتوزع شبه متجانس للاکاسید، ارتفعت نسبة السلت على امتداد آفاق المقطع، أما الطین فقد ارتفعت نسبته فی الافق AC وکانت 34.8% مقارنة مع بقیة الآفاق، ولکنها لیست من نوع الطین المنقول، ارتفعت نسبة أکاسید SO3 و%N2O3 بشکل ملحوظ بینما انخفضت النسبة المئویة لأکاسید الحدید والالمنیوم والتی تعتبر من دلائل نقاوة الجبس المکون للتربة باعتبارها من الشوائب المرافقة للصخر، الامر الذی یعتبر مؤشرا اقتصادیاً هاماً من الناحیة الصناعیة.
